Sea & Sand on Sunlight Beach

Welcome to the Sea & Sand Beach Cabin at Sunlight Beach!!  You will find the best of both worlds - our 4 bedroom waterfront home has a casual, cozy beach 'cabin' feel yet has all of the modern amenities for your comfort & convenience.  


Sunlight Beach, is a family friendly beach community on Useless Bay.  We are on a local beach road with easy access to beach combing, walking, biking and exceptional bird watching.


The ferry terminal, groceries, galleries, shops, the farmers market and dining are all within a very short drive and best of all,  the beach is just outside your front door. 


With a mix of adults and children, we can comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests. The home is on 2 levels. 


The main floor, which is accessible from the beach side deck or by coming up a spiral staircase from the lower level, has 1 bedroom with a King bed, a bathroom, a very well stocked kitchen and an open living/dining area. With a wall of windows on the beach side,  the main floor has spectacular views of Useless Bay all the way from Mt Rainier to the Olympic Mountains. We have automatic blinds to keep the sun out when desired and we also have a ductless heat pump for year round heating or cooling. 


The lower level, which is the street level, has lots of space for sleeping. There are 2 bedrooms - one with twin bunks and the other with a California King bed and there is a large bunk room with 2 sets of twin beds and a pull out sofa (with a standard mattress). There is one bathroom on the lower level. 


Well equipped with games, televisions, bunk beds, beach toys and more, we are very family friendly.  There is a washer & dryer on the lower level. You will have access to the garage for storage if you want to bring along kayaks or bicycles. 


There is a spiral staircase from the lower level up to the main floor. You can also use the outside stairs, which may be easier for some to navigate, to get from the parking area to the main floor. (Please be sure to ask about access if anyone in your party has mobility concerns.)


The recently updated kitchen has top of the line appliances, lots of options for morning coffee (Keurig, press, espresso maker), a full supply of dishes, pots & pans and all that you need for cooking.  


Lots of options for enjoying the outside - just outside of the dining area is our large deck with dining and lounge furniture, a few steps down we have a 2nd deck with a gas grill and seating and a nice grassy lawn. From the lawn, we have built in steps to the beach (only 5 steps).


The shallow bay provides warm water in the summer season as well as extended tide flats that provide hours of fun exploring. When the tide is in, it's a perfect spot for kayaking and paddle boarding. Let us know if you want to bring your boat along and we can arrange access to a buoy. 


When you want a quiet space to relax, you can enjoy our rose garden on the back patio.
